Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
Mr Daniel Shaerf is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hand and wrist surgery. His NHS practice is at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.
He graduated from the Royal Free and University College London Medical School in 2005 with Merit. He undertook a BSc in Orthopaedic Science at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Institute of Orthopaedics. After completing his specialist training on the North West London (Imperial) Rotation he underwent three prestigious hand and wrist fellowships at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and Brighton & Sussex Hospitals.
Mr Shaerf specialises in both disorders and traumatic injuries of the hand and wrist. He has published and presented on varying topics related to hand and wrist surgery as well as orthopaedics in general, and has a particular interest in thumb and wrist arthritis and uses cutting edge joint replacement technology.
Mr Shaerf is a member of many specialist societies including the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, European Wrist Arthroscopy Society, British Orthopaedic Association and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.
