Dr Arvinder Kurbaan is a consultant Cardiologist. Following his graduation from Guys Hospital in 1990 he undertook his training in Cardiology at St Marys Hospital and St Bartholomew’s Harefield, Royal Brompton. Upon completion of his training he was awarded a Doctorate in Medicine for research at Imperial College, London. As a result of his research into the treatment of coronary heart disease, he was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in 2003.
His extensive training and education have allowed him to develop specialist interests within his field of Cardiology. These include, treatment of heart blockages in the heart arteries, treatment of damaged heart valves and the closing of holes in the heart.
He published comprehensively within the Cardiology Literature throughout his career and has presented his work internationally at Cardiology Conferences.
Dr Kurbaan is actively involved in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate level. He has also been involved with the development of novel devices in the cardiovascular field.
